  54. <dt>Sep 27: Garrett�s first Win at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway!!</dt>
  55. <dd>Garrett started in first position on the pole when the race started and was over
  56. taken by the outside car. Garrett raced hard and took back the lead on the straightaway
  57. and maintains the lead on the 1st lap for the rest of the race. The race for second was
  58. a battle and Garrett took off leading the entire race. Garrett was in the winner circle
  59. after 50 laps accepting the 1st place trophy from a pretty girl and receiving
  60. congratulations all around.</dd>
  61. <dt>Sep 20: Garrett Leads most Laps!!</dt>
  62. <dd>Garrett started the race on the outside in 2nd position and took the lead on the first
  63. lap. The #24 car was running smooth as silk around the track as Garrett held the lead
  64. for most laps. On lap 27 in turn 3 Garrett had trouble with a lap car while racing to
  65. maintain his lead and spun in turn 4. He was lucky and didn�t hit the wall but needed to
  66. pit for a tire change. His pit crew performed flawlessly and had Garrett out on the lead
  67. lap. Garrett ended up 8th on the lead lap. Garrett raced hard to maintain the lead for
  68. 27 laps and then raced even harder to stay on the lead lap. This was an exciting race
  69. to watch.</dd>
  70. </dl>
  72. <p>Welcome to the website of Garrett Gray. Garrett is a Late Model Stock Car
  73. racer from Olive Branch, Mississippi. He graduated with the Harding Academy of Memphis
  74. class of 2003, and will enroll in Northwest Mississippi Jr. College for fall 2003 classes.
  75. Garrett&#8217;s High School and Racing experience has lead him to stay focused on what is
  76. important for his future and he plans to fill his future with the great
  77. racing experiences with the aid of a college degree.</p>
  79. <p>In an interview with Malcolm West of Comcast Fairgrounds Racing Review
  80. that aired 4-31-03 Garrett said &#8220;I started in Olive Branch Mississippi
  81. by driving Go-Karts in Holly Springs, Iuka and some Tulsa Championships.
  82. Then I started running at Highland Rim in the Late Models and I hope to
  83. make a run with Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. one day in the Winston
  84. Cup. This is a good place to start out at Nashville&#8217;s Fairgrounds
  85. Speedway and I think this will make me better&#8221;. Below is a summary of

  93. <li>2002 - Late Model racing at Highland Rim Racetrack, Ridgetop TN. (ranked 8th
  94. with 5 top 10 finishes).</li>
  95. <li>2003 - Late Model racing at Nashville&#8217;s Fairgrounds Speedway (ranked
  96. 11th with 6 top 10 finishes).</li>

  99. <p>Olive Branch Mississippi&#8217;s own is eager, friendly and smart. He has
  100. proven his ability as a Go-Kart winner and is rising to be a great racecar
  101. driver. Nothing can curb Garrett&#8217;s quest to success!</p>
